Coming from a important collection of occult books & SECRET SOCIETY. The Book it’s a Manual binding!
First authorized reprint of Albert Pike’s first draft of the complete rituals of the Scottish Rite, from the 4th Secret Master to the 32nd Sublime Prince of the Royal Secret.
In 1855, the Supreme Council appointed a five-person committee to standardize the rituals of the Scottish Rite. At the time, Pike was the only committee member with the 32nd degree, yet he was the only one to complete his task. Working on the rituals for two years, he printed, at his own expense, 100 copies of the ritual, which he called the “Magnum Opus,” or Great Work.
This book we are selling is one of those copies to which the symbolic talisman was added.
Although the work was never officially adopted, it represented an important step forward, and the text served as the basis for subsequent revisions. This invaluable work allows us to trace the development of the ritual and philosophy of the Scottish Rite.
The lessons that follow each degree became the foundation of Pike’s “Morals and Dogma.” This book influenced the development of Scottish Rite rituals in nearly every country in the world.
It includes a complete reproduction of the original text and a complete, clear-text decryption of the secret work.
The book is hand-printed and hand-bound, as shown in the attached images.
