TALISMAN CATHERINE DE MEDICI – NOSTRADAMUS – LEGEND.
No monarch ever granted to such characters the trust given to them by Catherine de’ Medici, the Italian princess who married, at only fourteen, a peer: Henry of Valois, future king of France. Initially Catherine had difficulty having children, even though she wanted them so much and wanted so much for her children to become Kings in their turn.
Nostradamus, questioned about it, had given her an apparently comforting answer: each of the three children would occupy a throne.
Catherine, saddened and worried, immersed herself more than ever in Magic: no longer satisfied with the horoscopes, which the astrologers compiled for her, she wanted to see with her own eyes the events that destiny had in store for her. Such an unshakable faith in magic also made Catherine very superstitious; for this reason, she kept in her service numerous and bizarre characters, true human fetishes, who were supposed to bring her ‘luck.’
As if that were not enough, Catherine tried to protect herself from bad luck, also wearing various jewels adorned with cabalistic signs, as well as amulets made according to complicated liturgies of high magic.
It seems that the talisman created by Nostradamus for her was one of the most powerful talismans in the History of Magic.
